Augmented Reality 3.0 is a blog developed by Sean Lee, which created the conceptual framework AR3.0
Watch the video and read up the framework below:
Augmented Reality 1.0 (Layar)

- One way interaction, information provider does not know the situation/location of user
- Overlaying information; all presented at once (bunch of icon/info stacking on top of camera view) for user to look at the bigger picture of available information then choose what to take in
- Info/reviews are regulated from specific domains; it is not presented in the form of live conversation
- The user have very limited input back into the system
- The user can only see local information
- The user is not provided with “shared vision or location memory tracking)

Augmented Reality 2.0:
-Based on augmented reality 1.0 + holographic 3D view and improved interactivity

Augmented Reality 3.0:

- Possible interaction with hologram
- Two way interaction (organization vs user, or user vs user )
- “friends” of the user may know his/her presence and engage in a conversation editable in real time (conversation on screen, by projection, overlaying reality vision to communicate or simply by live edited emails or text messages)- integrated with social connection tool. Therefore taken the augmented reality experience to the next level in a form of “shared mind”
- The user have optimized input back into the system
- The user can tag their own information and enable the sharing of places and events. (data sorted by time and place)
- The user can see local information + which ever vision the friend shares
- Allow reality book marking

In essence, we all live within a grid of information known as the web. Augmented 3.0 should allow us to take more advantage of such the system by reversing the way information travel to us. Turning the scenario around and make technologies work for us instantly only in times of need. The described scenario is similar to an onstar system applied in all aspects of daily function. Providing us with the power to simply switch on/off to optimum personal assistance from the people/companies we trust.
